Rottingdean is a picturesque olde worlde village with an old parish church, a pond, a windmill and an uncrowded shingle beach at the foot of the white chalk cliffs.
In the village you half expect Miss Marple to come walking round a corner!
With a beach less crowded than nearby Brighton, it is comparatively unspoiled for a family seaside holiday or day visit.
You can also walk there from Brighton Marina along the path at the foot of the cliffs, or take the old railway
